Eligibility


Must be a certified prevention professional holding one of the following: 

  • Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist Assistant (OCPSA)
  • Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist (OCPS)
  • Ohio Certified Prevention Consultant (OCPC)
  • Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)


Must be actively engaged in problem gambling prevention services.

Project Timeline


October 24, 2025 – June 12, 2026
Specific dates and times for meetings and events can be found in the application.

Stipend


Up to five fellows or their agencies will receive a $2,500 stipend to cover programmatic expenses such as time, travel, and registration for mandatory events.

Application Requirements

  • 1. Professional Bio

    In 100 words or fewer, provide a professional bio that highlights your background, experience, and expertise relevant to this fellowship project.  

  • 2. Professional Development Experience

    Describe any relevant professional development you’ve received specific to problem-gambling.

  • 3. Two Professional References

    One of the two references MUST be a supervisor.

  • 4. Current Resume

    Upload a copy of your resume.

  • 5. Essay

    In no more than 500 words, please describe your current experience with problem gambling prevention efforts and how you will utilize the skills and knowledge gained through this project to advance the field in Ohio.

  • 6. Project Proposal

     Please provide a brief description (250 words or less) of one Prevention Fellowship project idea, its purpose, and how it could support problem gambling prevention efforts. Consider what is missing in the system, what resources could impact the entire prevention field, and whether the project can be completed within the fellowship timeframe. We encourage you to think creatively.
