PGNO Award of Excellence & Impact Award
The Problem Gambling Network of Ohio Award of Excellence is presented in recognition of those individuals that have demonstrated significant contributions through innovation, advocacy, dedication, and impact on the Ohio problem gambling service system and/or responsible gambling field.
The Problem Gambling Network of Ohio Impact Award is presented in recognition of those individuals that have demonstrated significant contributions through innovation, advocacy, dedication, and impact on the Ohio problem gambling service system and/or responsible gambling field within the last 12 months.


2026 AWARD OF EXCELLENCE RECIPIENTS

Bruce Jones
Bruce Jones has been in the problem gambling field for over 25 years. When Bruce started at Maryhaven in 2009, he helped to shape the gambling program into what it is today. Bruce is well-regarded in the field, and is known as an advocacte for further problem gambling support, awareness, and funding both at Maryhaven and across the state. Bruce is the epitome of service, dedication, and excellence and has helped to bring the problem gambling landscape to a new level through relationship building, education, prevention efforts, and quality treatment to those that he helped to serve.

Governor Mike DeWine
Governor DeWine has demonstrated sustained and transformative leadership in advancing Ohio’s approach to problem gambling prevention, treatment, recovery supports. During his tenure as Governor, he has elevated problem gambling from a siloed issue to a recognized public health concern, ensuring it was integrated into Ohio’s broader behavioral health system. Under Governor DeWine’s leadership, the State of Ohio made historic investment in problem gambling services, expanded treatment access, strengthened prevention infrastructure, and supported data-informed policy development.
2026 IMPACT AWARD RECIPIENTS

Kathy Lenhardt
Kathy has been with Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley since 2014, and has served as a champion of responsible gaming since. In the past 12 months, she organized a responsible gaming escape room which she oversaw throughout the PGNO’s annual conference and subsequently at the national problem gambling conference. Kathy also maintained excellent relationships with external partners, and has organized tabling events at her property showcasing local RG resources and treatment providers.

Diana Padrutt
Over the past 12 months, Diana has written and been awarded grants that have allowed her organization to grow the number of qualified clinicians in Clark & Madison counties. In addition, Diana co-led a recent training on problem gambling. The training registration reached capacity and was highly-rated by attendees. Through this training, Diana was able to increase interest among youth providers who have consequently joined the team of clinicians adding problem gambling to their scopes of practice.

Megan Poliquin
Over the past year, Megan has significantly advanced problem gambling awareness, prevention, and advocacy throughout the Toledo region and across Ohio.
As Manager of Gambling Treatment and Prevention at Zepf Center, she has expanded the program’s visibility, strengthened community partnerships, and elevated statewide dialogue about gambling-related harm. Megan’s work has strengthened community awareness, enhanced cross-agency collaboration, expanded prevention initiatives, and contributed materially to the advancement of responsible-gambling practices throughout Ohio.
