Course Description:
A key responsibility of a clinical supervisor is the ability to effectively evaluate subordinate staff members. These evaluations can sometimes be stressful for both the person conducting the evaluation and the individual receiving it. This training is designed to help supervisors see this process as one that can be less intimidating as a collaborative process between an employee and their employer. Material covered will include providing evaluative feedback to staff, including guidance on observing and interviewing employees.
Participants will also reflect on their leadership style and consider constructive, supportive approaches when delivering feedback. In addition, the training will address strategies for promoting self-care and stress management, and considering the relationship between career development and the evaluation process.
Learning Objectives:
-
Participants will develop understanding of evaluative processes and techniques.
