Community Ambassador Collaborative Application

The Community Ambassador Collaborative will bring together individuals with lived experience and dedicated prevention and treatment professionals with expertise in addressing gambling and problem gambling to form a speakers bureau. Participants will receive training in public speaking and storytelling, helping them share how problem gambling has affected their lives and communities as well as ways communities can work to mitigate gambling-related harm.

Meetings will alternate between in-person sessions at PGNO’s Columbus office and virtual meetings via Zoom. The project will culminate in the professional production of short videos featuring each Ambassador and highlighting the vital role of problem gambling prevention, treatment, and recovery support services.

Following the project’s completion, Ambassadors may be invited to take part in future speaking engagements, continuing to amplify awareness and inspire hope across Ohio communities.
