EVENTS & EDUCATION ASSISTANT

Job Summary:

The Events & Education Assistant is a full-time (40 hours per week) employee of Problem Gambling Network of Ohio (PGNO) reporting to the Events and Education Manager. The Events & Education Assistant will provide support for agency programs by doing tasks such as monitoring event registration, communication and scheduling support, maintaining physical and digital program materials and communicating with program participants, partners and stakeholders. This position requires a dynamic and creative individual with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a passion for making a positive

impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with in-person event setup, registration, and breakdown, ensuring a positive and engaging experience for attendees.
  • Set up for virtual meetings and training, including obtaining all needed supplies and materials, creating Zoom links, and sending attendee reminders.
  • Attend virtual meetings and trainings to provide technical assistance, monitor attendance and participation, and act as the face of PGNO.
  • Monitor and evaluate event outcomes, collect feedback, and implement improvements for future events.
  • Assist programs with tasks such as data collection and report preparation.
  • Compose professional correspondence to key stakeholders, including letters and email.
  • Monitor incoming communications and either respond or refer to other employees as appropriate.
  • Oversee continuing education process, including renewing provider status through multiple licensing boards, tracking attendance and evaluation responses, and disseminating certificates to attendees
  • Prepare regular progress reports and post-event evaluations, analyzing key metrics and outcomes
  • Enter data accurately into spreadsheets, databases, and Customer Relationship Management systems
  • Maintain and update contact lists, directories, and records.
  • Assist in maintaining electronic and paper filing systems.
  • Update and oversee organizational databases and contact lists.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent: additional education or training in office administration preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
  • Proficiency in project management tools, such as Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Zoom, etc.
