— UPCOMING EVENT
Join us for Community Readiness in Action: Turning Local Data into Statewide Prevention Impact. This virtual learning opportunity will take place on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The Community Readiness Assessment (CRA) is part of the Community Planning Framework Initiative, a two phase project guiding agencies through the Tri Ethnic Community Readiness Model, a nationally recognized, evidence based framework designed to measure a community’s preparedness to address an issue. Using data collected through interviews with key local stakeholders, agencies assess levels of awareness, leadership engagement, and available resources to address problem gambling. Each agency identifies key strengths, gaps, and priorities to inform prevention strategies tailored to their community’s unique needs.
This session highlights how data can be more than numbers—it can be a catalyst for connection, collaboration, and lasting change. Representatives from five agencies will share their experiences, discoveries, and next steps toward sustainable prevention planning that bridges local insight with statewide strategy:
- Recovery and Wellness Center of Midwest Ohio (Preble County)
- Recovery Resources (Cuyahoga County)
- Lorain UMADAOP (Lorain County)
- Envision Partnerships (Butler County)
- Summit County Community Partnership (Summit County)
Together, these agencies demonstrate how readiness assessments lay the groundwork for coordinated prevention efforts across Ohio, turning community data into meaningful, statewide impact.
This program is facilitated by Natalie Alexander and Kelly Haddow.
Note: This is an open, discussion-based session designed for learning and connection. As such, CEUs will not be provided.
