As part of our Foundations of Clinical Supervision series, Guiding Growth: Clinical Supervision and Staff Development in Gambling Disorder Services will occur on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 held virtually through Zoom.

Course description:
This training is part one of a six-part Foundations in Gambling Supervision series aimed at professionals looking to enhance their supervisory skills in gambling disorder services. With the number of individuals affected by gambling disorder anticipated to rise, there is a growing need for well-trained counselors and direct service professionals equipped to meet these needs. This session will explore the critical role supervisors play in the professional development of their counseling staff, with a focus on preparing for the projected increase in gambling-related concerns. Key topics will include effective training methods, clinical supervision practices, motivational strategies, and maintaining ethical boundaries and professional relationships between counselors and clients, as well as between supervisors and supervisees.

- Identify strategies to motivate staff to promote professional development.
- Recognize ethical and professional expectations between staff, coworkers, and clients.

Mike Rosen, LPCC-S, ICGC-I
Mike is a licensed professional clinical counselor with supervision designation. He has spent the last 15 years in the field of addiction treatment and co-occurring disorders. He is currently working in a private practice setting helping individuals deepen insights to addiction tendencies. He received a Master of Arts degree in Community Counseling from Xavier University and has received advanced training in the treatment of gambling disorder. He has provided gambling-specific trainings at the state and local levels, and provides supervision for PGNO’s Supervision Cohorts.
Jesse Wodrig, MBA, LCDCIII-GAMB, ICGC-I, OCPSA
Jesse Wodrig, MBA, LCDCIII-GAMB, ICGC-I, OCPSA, is currently the Director of Clinical Programs at Problem Gambling Network of Ohio (PGNO). He is involved in the coordination and delivery of services through Ohio Gambling Telehealth Network, Warm Transfer available through the Ohio Problem Gambling Helpline, and clinical training offered by PGNO. Prior to joining PGNO, Jesse had worked in areas including case management, counseling, and administration in the substance use disorder services field.
