As part of our Foundations of Clinical Supervision series, Ethical Leadership in Gambling Counseling: A Supervisor’s Role in Ohio will occur on October 14th, 2025 held virtually through Zoom.

Course description:
This training is part one of a six-part Foundations in Gambling Supervision series aimed at professionals looking to enhance their supervisory skills in gambling disorder services. Participants will learn about key organizations involved in the advocacy, regulation, and oversight of counseling and social work providers in Ohio, including gambling regulators. The training will cover licensing requirements and related authorities, as well as ethical guidelines for mandated reporting and addressing ethical violations. The session will conclude with case examples that encourage discussion on ethical decision-making in various situations.
Learning Objectives:
- Participants will gain knowledge of the various organizations involved in the provision of counseling services in Ohio.
- Participants will develop understanding of the requirements of mandated reporting and ethical violation reporting and when such reports are necessary.
- Participants will consider responses to potential ethical dilemmas experienced in the field.

Presenters:
Mike Rosen, LPCC-S, ICGC-I
Mike is a licensed professional clinical counselor with supervision designation. He has spent the last 15 years in the field of addiction treatment and co-occurring disorders. He is currently working in a private practice setting helping individuals deepen insights to addiction tendencies. He received a Master of Arts degree in Community Counseling from Xavier University and has received advanced training in the treatment of gambling disorder. He has provided gambling-specific trainings at the state and local levels, and provides supervision for PGNO’s Supervision Cohorts.
Jesse Wodrig, MBA, LCDCIII-GAMB, ICGC-I, OCPSA
Jesse Wodrig, MBA, LCDCIII-GAMB, ICGC-I, OCPSA, is currently the Director of Clinical Programs at Problem Gambling Network of Ohio (PGNO). He is involved in the coordination and delivery of services through Ohio Gambling Telehealth Network, Warm Transfer available through the Ohio Problem Gambling Helpline, and clinical training offered by PGNO. Prior to joining PGNO, Jesse had worked in areas including case management, counseling, and administration in the substance use disorder services field.
