Schedule: This virtual training will run on Tuesday from 1:00 PM – 4:15 PM EST and will include a 15-minute break. It will consist of 3 total hours of content.
Course description: This training provides an overview of ethical principles and standards that guide professional counseling practice. Participants will explore key ethical principles, decision-making models, and real-world scenarios to enhance their understanding of how to navigate complex ethical dilemmas. The session will cover core topics such as confidentiality, dual relationships, informed consent, cultural competence, self-care, and professional boundaries.
This training aims to reinforce ethical awareness, promote best practices, and ensure compliance with legal and professional standards. Participants will be asked to share about their own experiences to provide context and real-life examples in addition to considering scenarios presented in the session.

Jesse Wodrig, MBA, LCDCIII-GAMB, ICGC-I, OCPSA, is currently the Director of Clinical Programs at Problem Gambling Network of Ohio (PGNO). He is involved in the coordination and delivery of services through Ohio Gambling Telehealth Network, Warm Transfer available through the Ohio Problem Gambling Helpline, and clinical training offered by PGNO. Prior to joining PGNO, Jesse had worked in areas including case management, counseling, and administration in the substance use disorder services field.
