OhioMHAS Director Tracy Plouck recently presented the Annual Report on Problem Gambling Services SFY 2016-17 to the Ohio Casino Control Commission. The report highlights progress made in the past year to build capacity for screening and treating of Ohioans who may have a gambling disorder. In SFY 2016, 44,000 individuals were screened and more than 1,000 were treated for problems with gambling. The state also saw growth in awareness and understanding toward the prevention of problem gambling due to work being done locally with school-based and community-focused prevention, including broad dissemination of the Be the 95% awareness campaign.
